Today the Development Corporation of Snyder, Texas (DCOS) took decisive action to help retain and grow Snyder Custom Foods. After weeks of negotiation with Lubbock National Bank the DCOS entered into two attractive 9 month lease agreements and a purchase agreement for the property with Snyder Custom Foods as the subtenant. The DCOS board also voted to loan another $50,000 of the required equipment funds as a new investor group from Lubbock Texas has secured verified bank financing for the remaining funds.
The steps taken today will help Snyder Custom Foods become a fully operational specialized food packager. Snyder’s own Beverly Velasco COO, has secured substantial orders from existing customers under the worst of circumstances that were the basis of the efforts by the DCOS board. Full production capability should be in June and additional hiring of up to 14 employees will take place as necessary.
