About The Development Corporation of Snyder

Mission Statement

The Development Corporation of Snyder, Inc (DCOS) is a non-profit public corporation governed by the Development Corporation Act of 1979 (State of Texas). It was organized by leaders in the community for the purpose of benefiting the community by promoting, assisting, and enhancing economic development activities.

Our mission is to use a designated portion of the local sales tax and other revenues which may be generated to stimulate Snyder's economic growth by assessing the community's needs, developing plans to meet those needs, coordinating community development efforts and supporting activities which enhance the quality of life in our community.

The DCOS accomplishes these purposes by developing and maintaining working relationships between the public and private sectors and furthering the development of commercial and industrial enterprises to promote and encourage employment opportunities for our citizens.
